My farm-mate and I
went to the
market to sell
our garden’s bounty
potatoes, raspberries, Rainier cherries
and two kinds of pesto
garlic scape & kale almond
both our own recipes
One woman said it was the best pesto she’s ever had!!

market-2

We’re there most Tuesdays
in the meadow
behind Island Savings
and The United Church
with other local vendors
selling everything homegrown

from blueberries & sprouted peanuts
to homemade pies & sauerkraut

oh and fresh flowers, hot dogs,
cookie dough & apple juice

market-3
There’s live music too
from local buskers,
a young woman who plays
a sweet accordion
and a husband & wife team
with an international repertoire

market-4

Families and friends sit on
blankets under trees,
munch on goodies from
the French patisserie
or Asian rice rolls.

Fill your bags,
summer is market time!!
